Centro Studi Poltronova renews its synergy with Elle Decor, once again crossing the threshold of Palazzo Bovara for the ‘Material Home’ exhibition. The project, curated by Elisa Ossino Studio, features the CANTON bench (Franco Raggi) in its original variant, the MIES armchair and footrest (Archizoom Associati), the SARATOGA sofa (Elena and Massimo Vignelli) specially upholstered in butter-colored leather for the occasion, the SUPERONDA sofa in total white (Archizoom Associati), the ULTRAFRAGOLA mirror (Ettore Sottsass jr.), and finally the VANITAS mirror/photo frame (Superstudio).

During the Milano Design Week 2024, Elle Decor Italia tackles the theme of material in a synthetic and sensory journey that leads the visitor room by room through abstract installations and spatial suggestions.

Spaces featured in the Elle Decor Material Home Exhibition

SOFT
Fabrics and upholstery take shape in surprising sculptural elements. In the bedroom space, the Ultrafragola and Vanitas mirrors, the Mies armchair, and the Canton bench mark the perimeter of the room, where geometries merge seamlessly to create a “smooth” effect.

REFLECTIONS
A gallery of light and glass narrates the reflections and illusions of material. Light itself, an intangible material, gives three-dimensionality to surfaces and follows the sinuous line of the Superonda sofa, which invades the gallery’s path with multiple units, creating a “wave effect.”

ORGANIC
A winter garden represents the final stage of material, a return to contact with nature through an installation where cork coverings and hemp brick walls create an intimate space for personal and universal reflection on resource sustainability and the future of construction. At the center, illuminated only by natural light, a white Saratoga armchair with custom butter-colored upholstery.
